MGS 2/4

I am surprised by how he uses inspiration from his own life like playing hide and seek with his son to come up with the idea of MGS 2, or the fact that MGS 1 is a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey/Titanic. He also mentions that they had two scenes in mind, but chose to use both; this showed me that I don't always have to give up an idea if I have more than one for some prototype. The Magic notebook, military adviser and travel to different places also intrigued me, since it revealed how much teamwork and research there needed to be in order to develop this game. I realized that I need to put a lot more thought and pay more attention to all the little details in order to convey what I want to.

Once MGS reached a lot more popularity and as technology advanced, there was a lot more work and stress that affected the employees. There was so much focus on trying to get the best product out as they could even with all the stress. I thought that there really isn't an "easy" way out of making a prototype. There needs to be trials and errors and blood/sweat in order to make something. Kojima also mentioned something about acknowledging that he is a perfectionist, but that the game won't be as perfect as he might want it and that it's okay. I hope to be able to be okay with not making things perfect, but building and carrying out my ideas fully.
