I read Sketching: the Visual Thinking Power Tool by Mike Rohde. For me I think that I should start sketching. I used to really love drawing Pokemon and I had a binder full of my drawings, but when I saw other people draw I got discouraged. I compared myself to others. If I want to start to sketch I think that first I would have to get over the fact that these sketches are supposed to be just functional and not artistic. Once I do, I think it should help me get look at my ideas and formulate them more easily, since I consider myself a visual learner. I think that it would help me to also build better prototypes or better drafts of essays, songs, etc. This is because I would be able to see other alternatives to do things than if I hadn't drew out or sketched out my plans.
I know that I cannot draw for life, but once I start doing this and practicing it should help me to get over the fear that I am the worst at drawing. Since practicing should help me to get better eventually. I know the article mostly talked about drawing UI or more physical things, but I think that if I apply sketching to my daily life it should help me to keep track of my ideas and most importantly get more ideas out of myself.
