I recently watched a movie called The Beauty Inside about this furniture maker who's face and body changes every time they wake up. He wakes up as a different person every day. The only people who know about this is his best friend and the main character's mother. The movie goes into his depression and how it's really hard for him to live a normal life. How it's hard for him to create relationships because of this condition he has. People are quick to judge and not believe him.
It also goes into his love life and how he meets this girl working at a furniture store. How she treats him the same even though he comes in as a different person every day. He eventually gets the courage to ask her out for dinner. In order to the keep the appearance he has he doesn't sleep for two days. But he eventually knocks out due to exhaustion on the 2nd night. His appearance changes and he can't gather the courage to approach the girl until a few days later. This time the main character wakes up as a girl.
It felt really wholesome and even though it was in movie format I got to know the characters well and I don't know how it got a 70% rotten tomato rating. Maybe it should've gotten higher, but I guess the whole plot was kind of cheesy. It might provide for some inspiration so I am deciding to watch it a few more times.
I haven't done much with my project though, unfortunately I have a bad habit of not starting things and just thinking. SO this week I want to research and know about mental illness and maybe look around for like more related projects to see how people approach the topic.
